Apple replaces free App of the Week with a new section, "This Weekend Only"
You might remember when every weekend we would tell you the current "Free App of the Week." Since the launch of iOS 11, the gang in Cupertino did away with the weekly freebie. To replace it, a new section called This Weekend Only debuts. Every week, Apple will reveal an app that offers a special deal or discount on anything "from apparel to food delivery, hotel reservations to movie tickets."

To get to This Weekend Only, open the App Store on your iOS flavored device and head to "Today." There, you will look for "Introducing: This Weekend Only."

As we said, the apps listed in this new category will offer you special deals and discounts. Each Thursday, there will be a new set of apps for you to peruse. The deals offered by the apps are good through Sunday. For the launch of This Weekend Only, here are the current apps and the deals they each offer:
from apparel to food delivery, hotel reservations to movie tickets.
  • HotelTonight: Take 40% off the original price of a room with the HotelTonight discount.
  • Glasses by Warby Parker: Those ordering glasses or sunglasses with this app will receive a free geometric case that normally costs $15.
  • Under Armour: Take $20 off purchases of $100 or more, made through the app.
  • Chipotle: Purchasing an entree at Chipotle and get a free order of chips and queso.
  • Shoptiques: Take 15% off all orders of $100 and up.

For iOS users, This Weekend Only could prove to be more useful than the Free App of the Week ever was.
