You can now buy a red iPhone 8/8 Plus

Just a couple of days ago, Apple unveiled a brand new color for its iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus: red. This new red version comes in addition to the silver, gold and space gray versions that are already available, and starting today, you can now buy the new red model at the same price as the other colors.

Unfortunately, the red version is not available for Apple's most popular phone currently, the iPhone X. The X will still only be sold in two color versions, a silver and space gray one.

What is this new color version all about?

Apple did the same launch last year, with a red-colored iPhone 7 that it released in spring 2017, and just like last year, this is a special Product RED edition, meaning that part of the money that you pay for this phone will go towards AIDS research and helping people with AIDS. It's a great cause, while for Apple a new color is an opportunity to bring some excitement to its iPhones that launched nearly six months ago.

What is really cool about the new red iPhone 8 series is that this time around, the red back is coupled with a black front, for a very stylish look. Last year, the red edition of the iPhone 7 had a white front side and many users complained they did not like the combination of red and white.
