Apple Watch gets compared to the Moto 360, Samsung Gear 2 Neo, and Pebble Steel
Folks looking forward to having an Apple Watch on their wrist won’t be able to do so this year, as the very first Apple wearable device will only be released in early 2015. That, however, doesn’t mean we can’t take a look at how the Apple Watch stacks up against some of the smartwatches that are already available to buy.

Designer Martin Hajek took the time to create rendered images that compare Apple’s upcoming product to Motorola’s Android Wear-based Moto 360, Samsung’s Tizen-based Gear 2 Neo, and Pebble’s Steel watch.

As you may know, the Apple Watch will have three versions: a standard one (starting at $349), a Sport version, and a much fancier 18-carat gold one called Apple Watch Edition (prices for this one could hover around $5,000). Martin Hajek rendered all three versions, placing them next to the aforementioned watches.

Of course, we'd love to see the Apple Watch next to newer wearables like the LG G Watch R, or the Samsung Gear S. Maybe next time! Until then, check out the plethora of images included below and let us know which of the four devices you think looks better.

None interest me. Even if I'll go for a smart watch it will be one that is truly smart. GEAR S

360 FTW. Mine arrived yesterday and in the last 24hrs I have found it truly awesome compared to Gear Fit, and other Samsung Gear watches I've had in the past. Its seriously well made too, and not afraid to get it wet either :) As with all iThings, they melt when exposed to water :p

360, Apple Watch, and Pebble look aesthetically pleasing, classy, and overall good. Galaxy Gear looks good, but it's something I'd get for my niece or someone… If I were to gift a smart watch to my girlfriend, (assuming she provided an ecosystem option), I'd buy her the 360 or Apple Watch. Pebble is nice. 360 and Apple Watch are nicer. Although Pebble does look sharp and sexy in its Pebble Steel edition. I wouldn't buy an Apple watch or Galaxy Gear with rubber/sport bands. If I was, I'd be pretty stupid. I can drive down to McDonalds and get the same thing from a Kids Meal; for only $3.00. In the end, it's all about choice. Choice Choice Choice. We can all stomp around PA telling everyone which smartphone is "best", which watch is "best", which OS is "best. But the only thing that it is "BEST" at being is BEST for YOU. #publicpreachingover

I wonder why he used the Gear 2 Neo instead of Gear 2, which has a steel body and camera

One point a lot of people don't mention is that the Gear is functional with any 22m (correct me if I'm wrong) band. Big plus

Same story with the Moto 360.

To clear up a point the Gears have the same band across the devices...it's not a special rubber/sports band for the bright orange one they chose to use (probably because, of all the colors available, it's the uglier one for most situations) but as stated earlier by Vexify the watch bands on the Gears are fully interchangeable with any standard 22mm watch band. #publicpreachingcorrectionover ;)

Man that iWatch is really FUGLY next to the Moto360. Starts at $349 Rain resistance LMAO Likely less than 12 hrs of battery life Needs a special charger which Apple sure will charge a lot for it 1" screen LOL iNFC/iPay Damn, the new iWatch's gonna suck big time...but it sure will sell :)

And that $350 starting price only gets only aluminium (horrible choice for any watch) and regular tempered glass. For $100 less, you can get the steel 360 and who knows how much more sapphire is! It's crazy.

Apple Watch has some cool features, but I like the classic look of the 360. Probably go 360.

Apple watch looks good as it has a premium style even more than moto 360.

Not really.. its looks alot like a TVG 4G08 Fashion without the side thingy to it... very "unique" design. btw Aluminium is not premium.

Its not about the material that they have used. Its all about the over all look of apple watch its look more campact than moto .

Is that so? Where were you when Apple fans were screaming about 'premium' material in their phones and that it's nothing at all about overall looks if you don't have the 'premium' materials????

I was thinking the same thing LOL. They ranted when the Note3 had a "fake" leather back & that it was NOT premium because the trim was plastic & just "looked" premium/metallic but it wasn't & clearly Samsung doesn't get it...then Apple does the same thing & the rules get rewritten so it's the exact opposite for Apple's device...it's about the look not the actual material. Because it's Apple.
