Android 5.0.2 update for the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge is doing the rounds
Hot on the heels of its official retail launch, the Galaxy S6 edge has begun receiving an Android 5.0.2 over-the-air update in The Netherlands. Later, our stateside users told us T-Mobile is seeding the update to US customers as we speak. Weighing in at 250,53MB, the update deals with the following features and functionality:

- Improved touchscreen response

- New features added to Photo Editor

- Improved compatibility with accessories

- Interface improvements in E-mail, Muziek, S-Planner, and other applications

As the Samsung Galaxy S6 & edge retail sales begin today, the Android duo has been enjoying a fantastic reception, with eager customers in the Netherlands forming Apple-worthy lines in front of stores. However, the launch hasn't been pitch-perfect, as complaints of scratched units and a camera LED electricity leak problem are echoing across the web. Samsung has acknowledged the latter and is working on a follow-up update to resolve the battery-draining issue.

Don't worry, as usual Samsung will update their previous flagships later, once dust will settle and with a future major android update

I got my lovely Gold Edge yesterday evening. I am now downloading the update, 24 hours later. I am in Dubai.

Would you recommend the gold one over the black one? I was really looking into buying the gold edge, but i kinda noticed that fingerprints are easier to spot on it, is it?

Definitely the champagne gold. It is rich and beautiful. I have an original Samsung flip cover so I don't really feel the smudges. Go for it.

It's not the touchscreen responsiveness that is improved but the fingerprint sensor instead.

I'm hoping with all devices using the same processor updates will be better this time around. I wish Samsung would go the Apple/Nexus route and dictate their updates.

What! 5.0.2 S6 and S6 edge comes with 5.0.2 out of the box. Might be only international version and I don't know why Samsung doesn't updated with 5.1 at least if it's more expensive than ordinary S6.
