According to data from Canalys that we passed along to you last month, 9 million smart speakers were shipped in the first quarter this year, a 210% year-over-year increase. Thanks to the screen, Alexa's capabilities are enhanced as she shows users things like song lyrics, recipes, images from security cameras and more. And of course, Alexa will also turn your smart appliances on or off, stream music, give you the news, weather, stock prices, sports scores and more. Heck, Alexa will fetch you an Uber, order a pizza, and handle many requests and tasks.
