Save 35% on the Amazon Echo Show (with display); speaker is priced at $149.99 on sale
Last year, the smart speaker came of age. And in 2018, the category continues to grow. According to data from Canalys that we passed along to you last month, 9 million smart speakers were shipped in the first quarter this year, a 210% year-over-year increase. Despite this growth, there will be sales in the U.S. at certain times of the year in order to pump up sales. We are in one of those periods now with Father's Day on June 17th followed by the Fourth of July holiday.

For example, Amazon has a great deal on the Amazon Echo Show. This was the first Echo to carry a display, which weighs in at 7-inches. Unveiled 13 months ago, the device can now be purchased from Amazon (natch!) for $149.99. That is an $80 or 35% discount from the usual price and applies to both the Black and White models. Amazon will also allow you to purchase the device for five monthly payments of $50.

Thanks to the screen, Alexa's capabilities are enhanced as she shows users things like song lyrics, recipes, images from security cameras and more. And of course, Alexa will also turn your smart appliances on or off, stream music, give you the news, weather, stock prices, sports scores and more. Heck, Alexa will fetch you an Uber, order a pizza, and handle many requests and tasks.

This is a limited time offer and let's face it, a smart speaker (especially one with a screen) makes a great Father's Day present. Even if your pop knows absolutely nothing about technology, smart speakers and virtual personal assistants, he's sure to figure out how it works with your assistance.
