After a short delay, the HTC One M9 is finally launching on March 21 (in Taiwan)
HTC wanted to release its One M9 flagship smartphone on March 16 in Taiwan, but a software bug forced the company to postpone the launch. Thankfully, the issue has been addressed, and HTC is now ready to start selling the M9 beginning March 21. Thus, Taiwan (HTC's home country) will become the first market to get the new One.

Only the One M9 32 GB will be available starting March 21 (for around $693), while the 64 GB model should be released on March 27 (costing about $756). After Taiwan, the HTC One M9 will be launched in many other markets around the world. The handset will arrive in the US on April 10, and all major carriers are going to sell it.

While it doesn't look too different from the One M8 (at least not when viewed from the front), the HTC One M9 comes with significant improvements over the old flagship, including a 20 MP rear camera, Qualcomm's octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, and a 2840 mAh battery.

The cool thing of this phone is that it has last years camera on the front, so if you are an M7 or M8 user and you do not like the M9's camera, you can always use the front one. Though it is kind of sad because i think M7 camera was almost perfect. It had OIS and the ultrapixel was good, just needed to be bumped up to 8MP/13MP.

r u serious in saying to use front camera for taking pics instead of rear camera?

Front camera for taking pics. Are you high? How can I see the viewfinder. And for your information. Only the sensor is the same as last year's camera. The lenses are probably cheaper ones as is usually the case with FFC. Also, it seems like both the ultrapixel and the new camera s**k. HTC is going on extremes. Either it's giving a very good pixel size or it's giving incredibly small 1.12 micron pixels with small aperture. HTC should find a balance, like iPhone.

I stand corrected, I was tired when I wrote this. But they probably going to change the camera configuration again next year.

Not the case with the s6

S6 is different. It has bigger 1.2 micron pixels, OIS and bigger aperture.
