Action Launcher 3 gets loads of new Android 7.1 Nougat features and improvements

Action Launcher devs are back in full force with the October 2016 update, which improves some of the features introduced last month, but also adds a ton more. The very long changelog released by developers contains a list of bug fixes and other enhancements they have added to Action Launcher.

Among the new features included in this major update, there's an option to pick a global icon style for Pixel owners who prefer full-sized icons instead of the standard half baked ones. Also, Action Launcher's developers did a complete makeover of the settings and added new shortcuts to automatically open the keyboard when opening the All Apps drawer.

More importantly, Action Launcher now features full support for dynamic shortcuts in the Android 7.1 Nougat via Quickcuts. This particular feature is only available for those devices running Android 7.1.

It's also worth noting that Action Launcher devs have decided to make Quickcuts available to all, instead of keeping it exclusive to Plus users. A new setting for disabling all tooltips has been implemented as well, which is available via Settings / Help / In-app tips.

Several fixes for known issues have been included in the update, so expect Action Launcher work smoother than ever. For example, the update fixes an issue with a shortcut being converted back to a Quickcut after Quickcuts were disabled for that particular shortcut.

As developers point out, Action Launcher's Quickcuts might behave somewhat differently when compared with Pixel Launcher's since they were released before Google launched its Pixel phones.

The October 2016 update for Action Launcher contains many more new features and improvements, so don't foget to check out the full changelog at the link we provided below.
