Windows Phone 7 getting copy&paste in a few weeks
To run out of the initial Windows Phone 7 devices stockpile at carriers' stores means that the buyers are not really worried that some functions like copy and paste are currently missing. They must have trusted Microsoft that an update later on will take care of that, among other grumblings.

It looks like their gut feeling was correct, since, according to a Microsoft's product management chief, the firmware to add the functionality will be rolled out in a few weeks. However, he still states early 2011 for the update availability, so it's more like a two months away feature, at least.

The guy also said that, while currently Windows Phone 7 doesn't have hundreds of thousands of apps, people should just give it time. The rest of the rumored updates are native support for Microsoft's 25GB cloud storage service Skydrive, mutltitasking in the hubs and a task manager, a clipboard, and voice-guided directions in Bing Maps.

Rock On!
Now everyone has to go back and modify all their WP7 posts; removing the bashing for no cut & paste at release. It took MS 3 months to get cut & paste for WP7 versus 3 yrs for Apple to get cut & paste for iOS...
