The quad-core LG X3 scores crazy on the new Quadrant, coming with 2000mAh battery to feed a 4.7
It looks like the LG X3 with Tegra 3 will be one of the monster phones for this year, as insiders have leaked its eye-popping Quadrant 2.0 scores, as well as confirmed most of the specs rumored around the device, including the equally impressive 4.7" 1280x720 LCD screen.

It will feature a hearty 2000 mAh battery, which will be desperately needed if the battery life on phones like the LG Nitro HD with a 4.5" HD display is any indication.

The rest of the specs were reconfirmed to be 8MP camera with the modern instantaneous shutter, and 16GB of internal memory plus microSD slot for expansion.

Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich will be running the show, hopefully not overly skinned. Have a look at that amazing 4412 score on the new Quadrant, and welcome to the new quad-core smartphone reality. In comparison, the dual-core LG Optimus LTE in the office scored 2514 yesterday when Quadrant 2.0 got released.

Verizon?

More than likely Verizon will not be getting this device. What I have seen and heard is Verizon is not getting any quad-core devices until maybe 3rd or 4th quarter this year. So AT&T will probably get the first quads by LG and HTC.

7. kshell1 posted on 15 Feb 2012, 07:15 1

the different colors are the different sections of the benchmark,
Blue=CPU performance
Red=Memory performance
Green=I/O performance
Red=2D performance
Yellow=3D performance

s**t man 8mp only 1gb ram and 16gb internal memory that's not enough i love lg but if they want to be the top dog than they have to release a super phone with the specs of galaxy s3.
Cause i don't want lg to lose and i don't want optimus 2x vs galaxy s2 again.

9. Jericho posted on 15 Feb 2012, 07:23

i am guessing that galaxy s 3 will have 12mp,1.5gb of ram and a more powerful chipset and 32gb internal memory.
If samsung can do it why not lg.
I've always referred lg phones regardless of the specs but after becoming a geek i can't tolerate non high end phones.

well it is rumored to have 1GB of RAM but that doesn't mean that it will have, maybe there will be 2 GB, but it will most probably be 1 :) and the number of mpixels on cam is not as important as the quality of the sensor

16. squallz506 posted on 15 Feb 2012, 09:32

Well, while you are waiting for the s3. I'll be more than happy o.have the most powerful phone on the market. The s3 isn't coming at mwc, the x3 is I expect the x3 to be available months before the s3. IMO log has better displays than Sammy anyway.

i am happy if manufacturers actually go for a quality sensor than more megapixels.. my D70 has only 6MP but blows the 8mp shooters out of the water.. and nikon has already put 36MP in an FX sensor, time for manufacturers now to go all out in quality of the sensors, one that can handle noise better and gather light better, for a better photograph.. look at n8.. if at least they can get into that kind of quality, then and only then i think manufacturers should go for the megapixel race again..
