Swype helps Samsung Omnia II user set new record for fastest text on a touchscreen
The Samsung Omnia II has a feature that enabled a user to set a new record for inclusion in the Guinness Book of World Records. The Swype keyboard is a feature that comes right out of the box for the Omnia II. With Swype, you slide (or swipe) your finger around the keyboard without lifting it, to form a word. Almost immediately, users can start to master Swype and the amazing thing is, that you do not have to hit the letters perfectly to get the word typed correctly. The whole application, which is also available for Android phones as we reported, makes typing fun. And as the commercial below shows you, it is also fast and accurate. The Omnia II user in the television spot had set a new record for the fastest text message on a touchscreen mobile phone with 5 seconds to spare.
