Specs for the HTC Nexus M1 handset leak

Since the beginning of this year, rumors have circulated suggesting that HTC would be building two Nexus handsets for 2016. One is code named Marlin while the other sports the code name Sailfish. Last month, we passed along leaked speaks pertaining to the Sailfish model. Today, we have specs rumored to be found on the Marlin (aka the HTC Nexus M1).

The HTC Nexus M1 will feature a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a 1440 x 2560 resolution. Under the hood you'll find the Snapdragon 821 SoC with a quad-core CPU, and the Adreno 530 GPU. 4GB of RAM is inside along with 32GB/128GB of native storage. A fingerprint scanner is on board, and the camera combo from back to front weighs in at 12MP/8MP. Rear speakers on the bottom of the phone are separated by the Type-C USB port placed between the grilles. A 3450mAh battery keeps the lights on.

HTC was responsible for the very first Nexus phone back in 2010, the well regarded Nexus One. In addition, the Nexus 9 tablet was also manufactured by HTC. The HTC 10 flagship was arguably the company's best phone in three years, which bodes well for the new Nexus models.
