Samsung Omnia II pictured for Verizon
Rumors of the Verizon releases of the Samsung Omnia II i920 have come and gone, and we're still waiting for the Windows Mobile smartphone to come out. Now we have a good idea of what the CDMA Verizon Omnia II will look like, thanks to an image posted to the Samsung Support web site, as you can clearly see the Verizon logo on the top of the phone. The site doesn't list the phone's features, but says that it will include a 1500 mAh battery, stylus, 3.5mm adapter with FM radio antenna, CDs and manuals. We just hope it retains the same features found on the GSM version, such as the 3.7" AMOLED display, Wi-Fi, and 5MP camera with 720x480 video recording.

Thanks, James!

if only i had an extra 30 per month, this is the bad boy id be getting as soon as it came out....it for sure looks like wm 6.5, the homescreen is diff from the gsm version which was 6.1....what an amazing phone! this thing blows the tp2, td2, any other htc junk phone, all bb's and iphone out of the water.

this thing blows out any smart phone ever. this kills the iphone and the bb storm, and slaughters the original omnia and every other smartphone out there...... enough said.

not that the original design was awesome or anything, but my god vzw, stop changing phones. you never do it right!

5. Osukaru posted on 22 Sep 2009, 00:35

I dont get this, people complain not enough phones, other complain too many......

8. mr. anderson posted on 22 Sep 2009, 08:08

no ones complaining about how many phones. the complaint is that vzw always tries to change a phone when they pick up a gsm model, and it seems to always turn out for the worse. maybe the td2 will be ok, but theyve messed up everything else theyve gotten their hands on

I bet its just as upsetting that Samsung is the one making the Phone and Verizon is the one selling it, but Verizon is getting all the Hate mail....So im pretty sure the "verizon guys" didnt get a nice looking model and then just throw some 125,000 phones back in to circulation with some spare parts...Have some would ya...

thank god, they got rid of the annoying looking cube design in the center. This one looks more like Omnia pro, which i liked.

Most times companies upgrade a phone, something changes. Its mostly software but often the hardware also. I think in whole the original Omnia was a great phone, it got on my nerves and seemed like it did more that what it should have been able to at times lol. But I like it. But this one looks as though it will truly blow the lid off of other WM phones on the market today! The Rogue is cool for people who want some PDA functionality without the $30 data plan price. But you cant beat all a PDA has to offer...I just hope they don't mess this one up....

I've gotten word that the Samsung Omnia II WILL be released the end of next month. My guess is this will drop on Oct.27, 2 weeks after the Storm 2 will drop!! All speculation...but im confident with my guess.

you never know guys, verizon might have make their version of the o2 better than the gsm version...they might have heard complaints and make the cube button a clear button instead like a dpad or something...we wont know till we see one in action whether verizon messed it up or made it better. since the 30 per month is too much for a few more features, im going to go with the rogue or chocolate touch (pretty much a dare 2) with the 10 more per month plan.

Call and complain about the data plans like i did..i said more like 9.99 then 29.99. then i complained about we are in a recession etc he said he will pass the word along

believe me, the only person he told was the guy sitting next to him and they shared a good laugh...according to my data rep, they wont be changing policy (5gb cap) or pricing until LTE drops....

Aint that the truth, had a good laugh at that just now in fact...

If you don't have Premium email with Verizon, you must pay the $30 monthly data plan for the Samsung Rogue.
