Well, Sprint and Samsung went for the middle ground, and just sent us the press release officially detailing the handset, but saying it will be available for purchase on the leaked August 21 date.
The Samsung Conquer 4G will be conquering the hearts and minds of consumers with the fact that it is the first sub-$100 4G-enabled phone at launch for the carrier - $99.99 on two-year contract after a $50 mail-in rebate in the form of an American Express Prepaid Award card.
The handset is your typical mid-range Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone, with 3.5" screen at 320x480 pixels, 3.2MP rear camera with flash and 1.3MP front-facing one, and is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset of the second generation.
Besides having full set of connectivity options, including the venerable 4G WiMAX radio, the Samsung Conquer 4G comes with a 2GB microSD card in the box, so, all in all, a well-rounded 4G offering from Sprint, which won't make you break the piggybank.

Sprint is selling the Evo Shift 4G, Evo 4G and Nexus S 4G for $99 after $50 MIR...the exact same price as the Conquer 4G...which one on this list does NOT belong?
Either the Evo 4G is EOL soon or all the other previous high end phones are getting another price cut. The Conquer just doesnt have a place in this lineup yet

It's already been announced that the EOL for the EVO 4G and Epic 4G is in October.

Cheapest sounds so bad, why can't they say least expensive? And even at that $99 is the same price as a few other phones. Phone arena at it's best!
