Finnish developer Rovio is trying to breath new life into its Angry Birds franchise, as their latest game promises “naughty humor, pop culture references galore and classic turn-based RPG combat.”

Rovio has teamed up with German studio Chimera Entertainment for the development of Angry Birds Evolution, and the results are on the positive side. The game has more than 1 million downloads in the Google Play and a 4.5 out of 5.0 rating.

Unlike any of the previous Angry Birds games, Evolution features console-quality graphics and Eastern-style RPG turn-based combat mechanics. Although there are only five classes of birds with unique abilities, players can collect and hatch over 100 colorful characters.

Moreover, Rovio added a weekly events system that will allow players to earn high rewards, as well as get the chance to add extra rare birds to their flock. PvP battles are possible too in the so-called The Oinktagon.

Angry Birds Evolution is a free-to-play game, but Rovio offers a subscription service that grants players exclusive benefits every month. How much does it cost to be a premium Angry Birds Evolution player? The answer is quite a lot. The monthly subscription can be purchased at a price of $24.99 per month, which will be charged to your Google Play or iTunes accounts.
