Microsoft releases promo videos for the Microsoft Surface 2 and Microsoft Surface Pro 2
Generally, the promo for the Surface 2 shows the tablet being used for both work and play, giving viewers the idea that while Windows RT might be great for viewing pictures and watching videos on your big screen television, it also has the power to be used to check on your work schedule and to look up that Johnson account (every office has a Johnson account).
The promo for the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is a tad more business oriented, which it should be. After all, Microsoft says the tablet is a laptop in the body of a tablet. The video shows the Surface Pro 2 being used by what appears to be a Real Estate development company working on a project and Microsoft wants you to believe that if the tablet is useful for this company, perhaps it is just the thing to run your business.
Both new tablets were introduced on Monday by Microsoft. You can check out the new Microsoft Surface and Microsoft Surface Pro 2 promos by clicking on the videos below.

MS should've given them different names, e.g. keep the RT as the "Surface" but rename the Pro to "Slate" or something. The two are worlds apart in both functionality and price, something which the moniker "Pro" fails to convey to the general public. Apple doesn't call the MacBook Air the "iPad Pro."
Or at least that's my take.

It doesn't, but the point is that the Pro is marketed to compete on the same level as the MB Air, and the Surface is marketed to compete on the same level as the iPad.
At any rate, it's an example of how Apple has differentiated its products in a way that MS has notably failed. Apple has never made any indication that iOS and OSX are comparable in any way, which is exactly what MS does with 8 and RT, by which MS has inadvertently placed the their own OS's in competition with each other.
