LG G4 (Note?) allegedly photographed in the wild
While LG will probably announce the G4 in April or May, we already had the chance to take a look at what's reportedly a "non-final" design of the smartphone. Alongside the regular G4, LG should also release a G4 Note, though this is expected to be introduced in the second half of the year. Even if there are still many months until then, an XDA Developers forum member claims to have some photos of the G4 Note right now.

This alleged LG G4 Note resembles the device that was previously presented as the G4, having a rear camera flanked by an LED flash and a laser auto focus sensor, alongside the power and volume buttons. However, on the upper left side of the phone's back, we can see what appears to be a stylus pen. The front of the G4 Note looks clean, with pretty thin bezels all around the display. The handset runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, and seems to be slightly curved (this should also be the case with the regular G4).

Of course, we can't be sure that these photos show the real LG G4 Note (which, according to a recent report, should be made out of metal). But, if they do, do you like what you're seeing?

Update: What seems to be a stylus is most probably just an antenna for digital TV (the Korean version of the LG G3 has this). So what we have here might not be the G4 Note, but the regular G4.

Love it. LG is gonna give Samsung a run for its money. Unlike other OEM's Nexus 6?...Nope. HTC? Eh...nope. iPhone 6 Plus?.... No, I still don't see the point in that iPad air mini-mini. Let's hope it has a stylus. #SamsungandLGnotes

Apple sells more flagships in 1 quarter than Samsung does in an entire year. Might want to rethink what a run for its money means.

What are you smokin' mate? For the first time since Q4 2011 Apple has beaten Sammy in Sales in Q4 2014. There was a whole article on this in PA!

L2Read. I said Flagships. Not the 300 plastic Walmart phones they sell + flagships.

Better sells doesn't mean better phone. The iPhone 6 Plus can't even compare with the Note 4. That phone is just a bigger screen, nothing to support it, no features that the 4.7in doesn't get for getting the 5.5in. It's just a bigger screen, so you need to rethink run for its money.

You hit that one on the head. I had a 6+ work phone and a note 4 personal phone the note is much better. I would be glad to see a LG note to compete with Samsung. I will agree that apple sells a lot of phones and makes a lot of money doing it.

Most people don't use all those features. The iPhone works flawlessly and I am not biased I have used both the iPhone and Note 4. The iPhone when I need it to with no lag, the camera is awesome for what I use it for, and I get all updates without having to wait for my carrier to approve. It might be a corny line but it is true the iPhone just works.

The 6+ lags big time, not the 6, shows there crap cpu can only take 750p before lagging

'Most people don't use all those features'

That's definitely an incorrect way to elaborate that there is a point to buy the iPhone 6 plus.

'The iPhone when I need it to with no lag'

Lag is not noticeable in Note 4 either, so it's not an advantage for the iPhone 6 plus.

'Might want to rethink what a run for its money means.'

Does 'sells more flagships in 1 quarter than Samsung in a year' matters to MarquiX's point that iPad air mini-mini doesn't matter for him?

larger side bezel? and not sure if it's a pen or antena that available for korean version since it's placed on top.

It's just a midranger. NOT G4. Take a close look at the baseband. M8936 -> MSM8936. SD615 SoC inside.

More bezel than the G3. Should we expect it to be at least IP rated?

I will be shocked if Samsung is the only OEM that actually CHANGES its flagship design this year....this looks nice though..the G2 was a really slick device..the G3 was good looking too

I'm pre ordering the s6. Seems like the 5.6" screen rumors were true.

Why is LG making a note sized device if it wants to make a galaxy S competitor. And for those who will be replying to me that LG 5.6 inch = other OEM 5 inch, please don't. This phone will easily cross 75 mm width.

I believe the G4 is their S competitor, and this new LG Note series is suppose to compete with the Samsung Note series. I just don't like how LG, and Xiaomi phablet line are called "Note" when Samsung already did that first, and how HTC is calling their larget M9 "Plus", when Apple also already did that. I'm all for competition, but if you're going to compete at least come up with an original name.

I think you need to research before posting, HTC already had a device named "plus" which was HTC one X+/plus before Apple did. And it's not yet confirmed wether HTC will use "+" or "plus"

I think LG doesn't want to use the G4 to directly compete with the S6 because they realize it can't attract Galaxy fans enough with the same 5" screen size as the S6 since the S6 has more features and some edge hardware over LG. In contrast, G4 could be a phone for those who want a bigger screen but with minimum bezels. I have a G3, and I am amazed by such a screen to body ratio.

This phone is the P1s Project, with screen size of 1280x720 and LTE, so couldn't be G4 Note or others bigger phone. That's the G4 mini since the P1 Project is the G4.

IT´S DEFINITELY A MID-RANGER AND NOT THE G4!

LOOK AT THE BASEBAND VERSION. THE PART WHERE IT SAYS "...M8936...". THIS CONFIRMS THE SNAPDRAGON 610 SERIES.

AND I DON´T THINK THAT THE G4 WILL KEEP ONE:

It's not a LG G4 or LG G4 Note. It's LG G4 Stylus.

No, the slot is not DMB antenna. If you look on the front screen, The korean version will be renamed as "Qmemo+" instead of "Quickmemo+" and the "messaging" icon is alot different from the Korean Version.

The Software version is "H63109b" so most likely the model is LG-H631.

And if you look the on the camera, the LED flash is single tone instead of dual tone.

This is even more outdated looking than the G2, so there's a very low probability that this is the G4/Note. Although it'd quite logical if it will be a midrange.

Sadly skipping any LG or any Android that uses the sd810 this year. Chip overheats like no tomorrow and having the g3 and having experienced over 100 restarts due to overheating is a major turn off, although it hasn't overheated since lollipop but the phone still gets so hot that i can't hold it. Hope the g4 note uses something different but i know better lol - it wont.

It was pretty obvious that the slot at the top was for the antenna. Even if it was the stylus, it would be in the worse location.
