Huawei P8 rumored to come in two varities including a "lite" model, when it arrives in April

The Huawei P8 is expected to be unveiled on April 15th in London. The phone carries a 5.2-inch Gorilla Glass 3 protected screen, with resolution of 1080 x 1920. That works out to a pixel density of 424ppi. A home grown 64-bit octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 930 CPU is under the hood and 3GB of RAM is inside. 32GB of native storage is included and the rear camera weighs in at 13MP (with OIS). A 2600mAh cell keeps the lights on. There will be a fingerprint scanner on the phone, which will probably be powered by Android 5.0.

A tweet sent out by Tech journalist Antonio Monaco on Tuesday, suggests that we could see two versions of the Huawei P8 when the phone is unveiled in April. According to Monaco, Huawei could introduce the regular version of the P8 and a "Lite" model.

A "Lite" version of the Huawei P8 could have a 720 x 1280 resolution screen, a somewhat less sizzling CPU and 2GB of RAM. The 13MP camera might make the cut although the fingerprint scanner probably won't. We will know for sure in April when Huawei unwraps the device(s). A recent Weibo post says that the regular version of the phone will be priced at the equivalent of $480 USD.
