Google shows off the Nexus 10 and its high-res screen with a photo shootout
With his photos, Guy shows off Google's 10-incher from various angles, but the focus in the photos is on the tablet's high-resolution display. Note that what you see in the images here are not screenshots photoshopped over renderings of the device. This is a real working unit photographed using a DSLR camera – the Canon 5D Mk III, and the results are impressive, to say the least. The tablet's screen is even compared to a paper magazine just to show how lifelike images look on it.
Of course, these photos were taken in a studio under ideal conditions, so in real life, the screen might not look exactly as gorgeous as it does here, but it will probably be close enough. Now go ahead, check out the images of the Google Nexus 10 and tell us what you think about them down in the comments!

No (nexus 10 = ipad 4) > surface RT ipad 4 is just as advanced as nexus 10. The ppi of nexus 10 is slightly higher though and because its pentile it will not be as awesome as you think.

The name of the screen is True RGB stripe PLS screen. Its in the name, how can it be pentile?

Nexus 10, better, faster processor, more RAM, bigger, higher resolution screen with an RGB subpixel arrangement and far better price.

Nexus 10=Surface Pro>iPad(4th Gen)>>>>Surface RT
Honestly, I think the Surface RT, and windows RT in general, is a poor attempt in the tablet market. If many users upgrade to windows 8, then there is no point in having a windows RT device. Also the windows store is extremely limited right now. That being said, the Surface pro is a full fledged laptop, but the nexus 10 has android and an amazing ultra high resolution display, so it's kind of a tie. and the iPad... It has apps?

I was so close to buying a Xoom 32gb because I keep hearing it was the "unoffical" google tablet, Hell I almost thought about the iPad 4. This is what i was looking for! Top notch specs, Higest res screen on the market, AND it helps im in the Android eco system. I wanted to go with Apple but I feel like the options that make me happy on android wont come to Apple anytime soon(customization, widgets, ect.). Both Platforms have there strenghts but seeing this from google makes me feel not only can google match Apple software wise Hardware wise they can even best them :)

Google and Samsung killed it here. No doubt about it. I don't hate The iPad 4 but to me it is just the iPad 3 re-released to be just a little bit quicker. Nothing wrong with that it is a good tablet Just like the Asus Infinity pad However, here is the big difference. Price. You get more for less then buying an iPad. However, the Infinity pad does give you expandable storage which both the iPad and Nexus 10 don't give.

Canon 5D Mk III? What an awesome camera and I wonder what lens he would have used. Great photographs, I would love to go test this tablet out.
