Doogee "luxury" phone coming in September carrying second display for notifications and time?
Chinese smartphone manufacturer Doogee is looking to have both ends of the market covered. With speculation that the Doogee X5 is going to be priced at the equivalent of $49.99, the low-end is apparently taken care of. And a new report says that the high-end will be handled by the Doogee Titans 3 T3. This will be a "luxury" Android flavored model featuring a 5-inch, 720 x 1280 resolution display. That combination produces a pixel density of 294ppi.

The Titans 3 T3 will be powered by a MediaTek MT6735 chipset, which contains a quad-core CPU and the Mali-T720 GPU. 2GB of RAM will be inside along with 16GB of native storage. Besides sporting an iris scanner, the phone will have a second display on top that will show time and notifications. Leather covers the back of the handset, which will come with a metal frame. The Doogee Titans 3 T3 will also be waterproof. Pricing and availability are unknown at the moment, but with a September release rumored, we should get that information in the near future,

Doogee is one of a number of smaller Chinese handset manufacturers that have been trying to gain notoriety by pushing the envelope of phone design. Next month, the Doogee S 6000 is expected to ship with a 6000mAh battery inside.

Thanks for the tip!
