Apple iPad Air and new iPad mini 2 with Retina still sport 1 GB of RAM, service chat reveals
A chat with Apple Customer Service rep has seemingly confirmed that the new iPad Air and the iPad mini 2 with Retina Display are still boasting the same amount of RAM as their predecessors.

Apple's 64-bit A7 chipset that debuted in the iPhone 5s has 1 GB of RAM packaged together with it, so that's what the new iPads boast as well, it occurs.

Of course, we'd have to wait for an actual teardown when the slates go for the dissection table to confirm what Apple's rep is saying here, but we'd wager to bet the 1 GB figure will turn out correct, if history is any indication.
