16MP rear-facing camera confirmed for Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+
A listing on Indian import-export site Zauba confirms that the rear-facing camera on the unannounced Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ will be 16MP. Zauba shows that a 16MP camera with a 1/2.6″ sensor was shipped into India from China. The post shows that the camera is set to be used on model number SM-G928, which is expected to be the Galaxy S6 edge+. Samsung imported 500 units of the camera into India. Each unit was valued at the equivalent of $19 USD.

The camera module appears to be the same one that is currently employed on the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge. If so, that would mean OIS will be one of the features on the new device. Other rumored specs include a 5.7-inch 1440 x 2560 QHD screen, an Exynos 7420 SoC under the hood, and 4GB of RAM inside.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ and the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 should both see the light of day during Sammy's next Unpacked event. That will take place on August 13th in New York City, which means we have plenty of time for more leaks to appear for both models. Feel free to check in often for the latest news and rumors on these two eagerly awaited handsets.

Thanks for the tip!
