The Motorola Crush features a 2.8" touch screen, 2.0 megapixel Camera with Camcorder, music player, microSD expandable memory, and is Stereo Bluetooth capable.
DOESN'T THIS SAY IT ALL???
PEOPLE.
I believe that you will be 100% satisfied with everything on this phone!
Seriously.
I got this about a month ago and it hasn't falied me yet.
I do a lot of work over the phone and I haven't dropped one call.
Also, i can easily purchase applications.
you NEED to get this phone.
I've had this phone for about 3 weeks and I am really impressed with the quality of it. It completely blows away my previous phones, including the samsung intensity and LG bliss. There are tons of applications that you can purchase that are accessible on this phone. If you need a phone that can take great pictures and is super easy to text with because of it's QWERTY key board, then this it.
This phone is so great. The picture quality is wonderful, the touch screen is incredibly accurate, and it comes with marvelous tools, like the pedometer, and the QWERTY keyboard the appears by turning the phone. All over super impressive. Nice job, motorola. You've made a spectacular phone.
okay i got the phone a couple days ago and i returned it the very next day thats how much I hated it. what ever you do do not get the motorola crush. please what ever you do don't get this phone. so after returned it I got the samsung trill (please see my review for the samsung trill). If you get this phone I will laugh at you.
Not a perfect phone but...
I love this phone!
It's far from perfect and I'm hoping to either cope with the mentioned drawbacks, or figure some work-arounds, but...
It sure has quite a few positives to it.
Positives not mentioned in any of the other reviews are...
(1) Fantastic web browser... perhaps the fastest one around. The Novella browser has been compared to ones on much faster phones... and it still beats them! I know it's faster than browsers I've used on previous phones and according to tests found online it appears it's not just in my head... this is one fast browser. It's easy to use as well (but I do hate the teeny-tiny little boxes to click). And to make it even better, you can download both of the easyedge browsers, giving you full web support, or much simpler text usage browser.
(2) Extremely sharp screen makes photos look better. We couldn't believe after transferring images from our other phones just how much better they look on the Crush's sharp screen.
(3) Simple email app connects quickly to email accounts and does what it's supposed to.
(4) Music player is so good, I now no longer have to carry a separate mp3 player. Wow! Ipod can now sit at home... and leave my pocket empty for something else.
(5) Capacitive touchscreen works great. I longed for an iphone but didn't want the great expense, and other carrier which goes with it. The Crush's screen is smaller than the iphone but is it's equal in every important way. You can't turn-off that little 'vibrate' feel when touching the screen, but why would you want to? It's just letting you know that you actually have touched the screen... I like it.
(6) Motorola (and Nokia) phones pick-up carrier signals that other brands only wish they could. Fact! We live in a location which doesn't receive a signal well. Over the years we've tried several phones of various makes... Verdict: Nokia beats them all; Motorola comes in a close second; LG does an adequate job; the rest trail far behind. (Samsung couldn't even send or receive at all).
But the most important aspect not mentioned is... this phone doesn't require an expensive internet account. My family of four can now have internet and email through the easyedge family plan... a much lower-cost alternative ($10 a month LESS than what we were paying for NOT having internet). Before, we only had one phone which could access internet, now we all have it... extremely big plus!! As I've already mentioned, the internet browser is so good, it actually beats the browsers on the more expensive phones.
Okay, in all fairness, several complaints on other comments are quite legitimate... some are uniformed.
This is a far from perfect product. But for what it does... which is giving a phone user the advantage of utilizing some good features of better phones (which require more expensive monthly plans) on a phone that fills the gap between the basic and the feature-laden, the Crush is a darn-good alternative!
Love it or hate it, we didn't have other options which delivered like the Crush does... on the plan that we subscribe to. If they can only work-out the negatives, it will be a middle-of-the-road powerhouse.

i have had it for maybe a month and it ok, but it needs to be updated. 1. U can't transfer ringtones. I have a Razr before and i can tranfer them on that. 2. You cant make ur music your ringtone. 3. Why have pacman if its only a trial, i used mine the same day i got the phone. Well i dont rly have many problems with the phone its just the ringtones and when u usb it to the computer it wont do anything but charge
i have had it for a week but i am on my second one so far, first one made it 2 or 3 hours then it started locking up every 2 or 3 minutes. its a little tricky sometimes getting it to open what you want, what you are trying to touch isnt what it opens sometimes. i dont understand what the other posts are saying about setting the background, any picture i take i can set as my main screen wallpaper. you can also disable the autolock feature. some people should sit down and read the manual while the phone is charging(when they first bring it home) before complaining about what it can or wont do. i have also removed the pacman app. from my menu, very easy.
This phone is okay ive had it for a few days now. There are a few minor things i dont like about the phone. For one you cant shut off the vibrating thing everytime you touch the screen. Another thing is that I dont belive you can shut the unlock off...because everytime i get a message or something i have to unlock the phone. The one thing i hate the most is when your texting fast the screen doesnt catch all the letters you type...so i guess you could say the screen doesnt respond fast to you touch. but over all it is okay. I do think Motorola should make an updade so you can change your home screen. tho that would be great. The pac man thing is getting a little annoying. Ive also made axidental calls because of the touch screen...I would suggest locking the phone BEFORE you put it in your pocket. Also if you have had a phone before. something you probably will only notice once you actually get the phone is that when you are texting and your NOT using the Qwerty Keybored (what ever the other texting thing is called) the space key is on the other side of the phone. that got me all confused. because on my old phone the space key used to be on the right side of the screen and they switched it!
Worked ok for the first few days. Then touchscreen quit working...touch something on the screen like 10 times and something you werent even touching pops up. Cant txt, check voicemail or really do anything with the touchscreen without going through a big hassel all the time. It has ended up call people without me even knowing. All around horrible phone.
I was looking at the phone at US Cellular the other day and I wanted to get it but the icons on the screen scared me off. I don't want the preloaded PacMan on my screen either. If you go into Easy Edge and click settings and manage applications you should be able to delete the applications from the phone. If you delete the applications this should delete them completely from the phone. I asked the associate at US Cellular if this would work and he assured me it would. I don't personally own the phone so I have no way of testing it but it is a suggestion. Good luck and post a reply if it works because then I will be off to the US Cellular store to buy one!
I have owned this phone for about 12 days. I don't like all the steps that you have to do inorder to do some basic functions. Finding a contact in the phone book is a joke, texting is such a pain. The phone is locking up and not responding to commands. Then when it does finally work, it does things on its own. I had a Motorola rocker that I loved, unfortunately a cup of coffee ended it. I went back to my old Razor, that phone by far was an easier one to use for texting. If you want an entry level touch screen phone, then Crush is it. I do not have a Crush on the "Crush" going to return it today for the new Quantico.
I do not like this phone. You can't customize anything other than the background picture and everything takes so many steps to do. It also freezes and anything you touched while it froze will start popping up when it unfreezes. My phone made calls and sent messages without me even knowing.
All i can say......Dont drop this phone....the face will shatter. I have had mine less then a week. Got out of my truck, phone slipped out of my hand and on to the ground. it was a wet gravel drive way. wasnt tar or cement. Picked the phone up and the face was shatted
I have had this phone now for about a week. I really like the fact that it is not a slider phone with a keyboard because without it, the phone remains light. It has a nice QWERTY keyboard for texting. The camera is pretty nice as well, but, unfortunately no good editing features. I like the videos though because you can pretty much view them full screen. In order to make the videos longer than 15 seconds you click the camcorder button again in the corner, and you can tape for an hour. You may need a microSP though. There are a lot more tools than there usually are as well. The music player works well too. As for texting, it is very easy to text itself. I find it some what of a mild nuisanse because there 3 or 4 buttons in order to completely get to texting and sending. Also, not a lot of generic ringtone options, but you can use whatever songs you have as your ringtones. The biggest downfall of the phone though, it only holds 100 texts for the inbox. Overall, good phone. Try it out.
I've had the Crush for a week now and I'm loving it! You CAN personalize ringtones BUT they must be sent directly to the phone (via text/SMS/etc) and then saved as a ringtone. I spent an hour on the phone with USCC tech support trying to figure out how to transfer my ringtones from my micro SD on my old phone to my ringtones folder on the Crush - no go! When uploading MP3's from a micro SD, the CRUSH moves them directly to the Music Player, no questions asked. Still, no biggie, I just hooked the phone (with my micro card in it) up to my computer, moved all my ringtones over to my PC desktop, and e-mailed them back to my phone. This is free to do. Had I not been able to personalize ringtones for individual contacts, this phone would have been a deal breaker. Now that I've found a method that, although involves another couple of steps eventually does the trick, I'm satisfied! My biggest complaints are not being able to customize the main screen and the lack of faceplates/screen protectors available for the phone!!!
I agree with the last post, you should be able to personalize the main menu. Also you cannot set uploaded music as a ringer ID, only the preloaded ringtones. I just spoke to US Cellular and they claim that Motorola is aware of the problem and will fix it on the next update. Don't know how long that will take. Why don't they test these things before releasing a new product. Other than that, I do like the phone. Touchscreen works well and is easy to navigate. Takes decent pictures and videos, but videos are limited to 15 seconds for some reason. I have a 2 GB card installed, so if anyone knows how to lengthen the video please let me know.
had it for one night...highly likely to take it back before the 30 trial period is up. With us cellular service they put a demo pac man icon on the main menu, along with tone room and your navigator...you cannot remove these. its very annoying considering i would rather have other easyedge applications on the main menu. I like the phone, real slick efficient touchscreen, but i can't deal with the fact that a demo for pacman is going to be front and center for the life of this phone. Especially when things like message outbox takes exactly five touches to get to!!! so annoying.
I am really happy with my Motorola Crush. It took me about an hour to familiarize myself with the phone. I have never used a Motorola brand phone. So I wasn't used to the setup. But once I did, this phone is completely easy to use. It is very easy to text on too. This Phone is definatly worth the Try.
