Shortcomings - Handsfree operation- LG Stylo 3 Plus
Phone owned for less than a year

This phone functions well as telephone, and works well with internet interface, but it fails when used in a hands-free situation.
1) Google Assistant won't activate reliably
Even when settings are correctly set to allow Assistant to open even with a locked phone, it does not normally work. When it does work, (whether locked or not) it does not make any noise, but rather, the screen flashes around the edge, and then goes back the way it was. A user has to watch the screen (and catch the momentary flash ) to see if it engages.
2) When using with navigation and a bluetooth headset, (Google Maps or Waze), the audio directions are clipped of the first several syllables, or for very short directions, do not speak at all.
