Beats is a pretty popular brand, which has been under the Apple umbrella for quite a while now. It's known to offer robust, well-sounding products, with a price tag, which may or may not be justified. But, if you happen to catch a deal on Beats gear at 50% off, chances are it's going to be worth the investment.

Here, we have a Beats Pill+. A wireless Bluetooth speaker with its own app. It can link it to other speakers or connect to multiple smartphones so that you and your friends can take turns picking songs when out at a party. It will also act as a portable power bank, letting you charge your iPhone.

The Beats Pill+ retailed for $230. Right now, you can get it from Apple for $179.95, or go to Best Buy and nab it for $130. Pretty good deal, we'd say!

Why anyone would want to buy a $350 Mono sounding Homepod is beyond me. Even this beats pill has stereo sound, supports usb and Bluetooth, and has 12 hours of battery life. Just buy a Google Home or Echo for $50 or less, and now you have a superior smart speaker for a fraction of what Apple is asking. What was Apple thinking?
