Samsung Galaxy S25 FE battery: All you need to know
The new Galaxy S25 FE comes with better charging than the base Galaxy S25!

Now equipped with a larger battery and significantly faster wired and wireless charging, the S25 FE enters 2025 with credentials that even outmatch the base Galaxy S25 model in some areas. That makes it a very strong candidate for best value in Samsung’s entire smartphone lineup.
What is the Galaxy S25 FE battery capacity?
The Galaxy S25 FE packs a 4,900 mAh battery, which is a 200 mAh upgrade over the Galaxy S24 FE. That might not sound like much, but when paired with the more efficient Exynos 2400 chip it should help the S25 FE deliver longer battery life compared to its predecessor.
Phone | Battery capacity |
---|---|
Galaxy S25 FE | 4,900 mAh |
Galaxy S24 FE | 4,700 mAh |
Galaxy S25 Plus | 4,900 mAh |
Galaxy S25 Ultra | 5,000 mAh |
Galaxy S25 | 4,000 mAh |
In our hands-on testing so far, the S25 FE feels responsive and smooth even at 120Hz — and thanks to better thermal management and software optimization in Android 16 with One UI 8, battery efficiency should be solid. But stay tuned: we’ll update this article with our full PhoneArena Battery Test results soon.
How fast does the Galaxy S25 FE charge?
Samsung has given the Galaxy S25 FE flagship-level charging speeds:
- Wired charging: Up to 45W, with Samsung citing 65% charge in 30 minutes
- Wireless charging: Up to 25W, up from 15W on the Galaxy S24 FE
- Reverse wireless charging: Yes (up to ~5W, typical for Samsung)
That means the S25 FE charges just as fast as the Galaxy S25 Ultra and S25 Plus, and faster than the regular Galaxy S25, which is still capped at 25W wired charging.
If you care about quick top-ups via cable and wirelessly, the Galaxy S25 FE now punches well above its price class.

Does the Galaxy S25 FE have wireless charging?
Yes — and it's better than before.
The Galaxy S25 FE now supports 25W wireless charging, a notable upgrade over the 15W cap on previous Fan Edition models. You’ll need a compatible Samsung wireless charger or a third-party one that supports Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 to hit those speeds.
That brings the S25 FE much closer to true flagship wireless convenience — a great perk at its $649 starting price.

Does the Galaxy S25 FE have reverse wireless charging?
Yes. Like other recent Samsung flagships, the S25 FE includes reverse wireless charging (or as Samsung calls it, Wireless PowerShare). It’s capped at 5W, which is enough to top up accessories like your Galaxy Buds or Galaxy Watch in a pinch.
Does the Galaxy S25 FE come with a charger?
Unfortunately, no.
As expected, the Galaxy S25 FE does not include a charger in the box, following Samsung’s recent tradition. You’ll get a USB-C cable, but that’s it.
To make the most of the new 45W wired charging speeds, Samsung recommends using its own 45W USB-C Super Fast Charging adapter — though you can also use any PPS-compatible third-party charger from brands like Anker, Ugreen, or Spigen and still get near-full performance.
