OnePlus 15 sales began earlier this month in most parts of the world, except in the United States. During the device launch, OnePlus explained that due to the US government shutdown, its latest flagship was unable to receive clearance from the FCC (Federal Communications Commission), which ensures that devices sold in the US adhere to government standards for safety and interference prevention. As a result, sales in the US market did not begin alongside other regions after the launch.
The US government shutdown ended on November 12th, and it was expected that we might hear news about the OnePlus 15 receiving FCC approval soon. While there hasn't been any official confirmation from OnePlus yet, a Reddit user spotted in the FCC database that a OnePlus device with the model number CPH2749 received clearance from the FCC on November 25th, 2025.
The model number CPH2749 could correspond to the US variant of the OnePlus 15, as the Indian variant carries the model number CPH2745. If this device is indeed the OnePlus 15, you can expect OnePlus to begin sales in the US anytime soon. The Reddit user who spotted the FCC certification believes that the device could hit the market starting next Monday (December 1).
Fortunately, the affordable alternative to the OnePlus 15, the OnePlus 15R, isn't facing any FCC-related issues, as the company has already confirmed that the device will launch on December 17 in the US, along with several other countries, including India, Europe, and Canada.
