Moto Camera app updated with Google Lens, single finger zoom, Portrait mode and more
The Motorola Moto Camera 2 app in the Google Play Store has received an update. This app is now optimized for 2018 Moto handsets and adds integration with Google Photos. Pictures snapped using Motorola's Best Shot or Portrait mode (for the bokeh effect) will show up marked in the Google Photos Library. YouTube Live is added to the camera app with the update, which also brings a new feature allowing users to zoom in or out by swiping the screen with a single finger.
The UI has been updated and users now swipe to the left to share, edit or backup their photos. Google Lens is added, but it is not part of the camera app per se. It is basically a shortcut to the version of Lens that can be downloaded from the Play Store. The complete changelist looks like this:
- Single finger up/down zoom.
- Drag to focus with exposure UI.
- Improved modes exit UI.
- Combined front / rear camera settings UI.
- Google Lens.
- YouTube Live.
- Bug fixes and stability improvements.
