If you hurry, you can get a second-gen Amazon Echo Dot at a killer $20 price
An “all-new” Echo Dot smart speaker is here with more powerful sound and an arguably sleeker design, which means it’s time... to buy the previous model. Originally released back in October 2016, the diminutive second-gen device is typically only 10 bucks cheaper than its successor.

But Amazon has already offered it at an additional $10 discount a couple of times, and now Woot takes the deal to the next level by shaving off another $10. That means you need to pay a measly $19.99 for an Amazon Echo Dot (2nd Generation) in black or white today only, although there’s obviously a catch.

Namely, you have to settle for pre-owned units in “good” condition, presenting “minor cosmetic imperfections.” Woot promises all these used Echo Dots are in “perfect working order”, backing that solemn oath with a 90 day limited warranty.

You could definitely do a lot worse, and keep in mind this e-tailer is a wholly owned subsidiary of Amazon. The tiny smart speaker’s manufacturers are in fact the ones handling the storage, packing, and shipping of the Echo Dots on special offer today, also covering your standard delivery costs if you’re a Prime member.

If you don’t know exactly what an Echo Dot does, it’s pretty much the same as a regular-sized Alexa smart speaker, but if you want high-quality audio, you should probably think about separately buying a high-quality (dumb) speaker.

Otherwise, this bad boy will answer your questions, set timers and alarms, play music from Spotify or Pandora, control smart home devices, and even make hands-free voice calls leveraging Alexa's impressive capabilities and versatility. That’s a lot of features for just 20 bucks, eh?
