You can now pre-order Google Daydream View in Crimson and Snow color variants
Google's Daydream VR platform might be the new kid on the block, but it certainly does have a lot of potential. Although not as powerful as the likes of Oculus Rift or HTC Vive, it offers a high-end virtual reality experience with just your smartphone and headset, and in addition to Samsung Gear VR, it's one of the best mobile VR solutions that exists.

Google's own Daydream View is currently the only headset available that's made for the Daydream platform, and up until this point, you've only been able to order it in the Slate (gray) color option. If you'd like your VR headset to offer a bit more pizzazz than what the Slate color offers, we've got some good news for you. Initially announced back at Google's big Pixel event in October, you can finally grab the Daydream View in Crimson and Snow color variants in addition to the Slate one that's already been available. The Snow color looks like it will get dirty rather fast thanks to its stark white nature, but the red Crimson looks downright gorgeous.

Unlike the Slate model of Daydream View that you can purchase and have shipped out right away, the Snow and Crimson variants are still in the pre-order stage. This means that shipments won't go out until December 8, and while that is a bit of a bummer, that's just one short week away at the time of this writing.

Both the Snow and Crimson versions of Daydream View retail for the same price of $79.99, and as it currently stands, you'll need either a Pixel, Pixel XL, Moto Z, or Moto Z Force in order to actually run Daydream VR.
