We've already seen a concept video of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 made by the designer of the phone, Philippe Starck. And just yesterday, we showed you a picture that allegedly reveals the back panel of the handset. Today, we have a new photograph to pass along pertaining to the Mi MIX 2. The image claims to show a live image of the sequel, including the thin bezels surrounding the screen. While the picture does resemble the concept model in the video, the latter has bezels that are a bit thinner than what we see in the photo that accompanies this story.
Rumored specs for the Mi MIX 2 have the device carrying a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with a 1440 x 2560 (QHD) resolution. Under the hood you will find a Snapdragon 835 chipset with an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 540 GPU. Three versions of the phone are reportedly on the way. The base model will have 4GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage. A mid-range variant is expected to feature 6GB of RAM along with 128GB of native storage, and the top model is said to be equipped with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of native storage. A 19MP camera is rumored to grace the back of the Mi MIX 2, with a 13MP front-facing selfie snapper.
While a recent rumor has the Mi MIX 2 becoming official on September 12th, that happens to also be the rumored date of the 2017 iPhone models, and we just can't see Xiaomi shooting itself in the head like that. Nonetheless, the MIX 2 has received its 3C certification in China, which means that the handset could be unveiled shortly.

Lol iPhone means shi* in Chinese and Indian market and those are the target markets for Xiaomi. I don't know why do you guys keep making a big deal out of it in every Mi Mix article. Xiaomi is going to sell tons of it and as usual Apple would be struggling there. No hate on iPhone but at least do some research before making it look like God is coming that day because that'll probably be the only way for Xiaomi to lose.

Sorry Mi Mix was priced at Apple and Samsung flagships' prices. Thus it didn't sell well the last time.

they are not hating a phone, they are hating iFanatics "logic" and hypocrisy, false claims about inovation, and gimmicks which suddenly turn into best tech ever, like now when you will praise oleds, and small bezels fast charging and so on, and just before few months they where overrated and stupid.

Xiaomi makes great hardware for affordable prices. Too bad their software is trashy and they don't cover U.S. bands, but I guess that's the price you pay (playing with words) to get things at such low costs.

Better than having a cut-out in the display, even though it's nostril cam like Andy Rubin calls it, it all comes down to how often do you take a selfie. Not much effort to rotate the phone 180 degrees. But perhaps this design and many others would change if Apple's new security authentication takes off, which it most likely would. Won't be the first time.

Xiaomi messed up such a good opportunity with that low volume production unit. Because of that stupid ceramic frame it was so fragile, expensive and impossible to manufacture at high volumes. They need to make a mainstream, affordable Mix. That obviously is a fake BTW.

I have one question, why do you losers keep comparing every Android phone the iPhone?? Is you’re life so dull that you dream of owning one and come here to release you’re anger of not having one? No one should ever compare anything to the iPhone. Compare this and other Androids to other androids. For example, the Note 8 to the Pixel XL 2.
