App gives Apple iPhone users a shot at free Uber rides and cash prizes

How good are you at trivia? Do you get past a few rounds when playing HQ Trivia? If you can answer 10 questions correctly on your Apple iPhone, you can score a free Uber ride. Here is how it works. Install the Joyride Trivia app from the App Store, open up the Uber app and order a ride. Once you get into the car, the questions will appear on the screen. The app was the subject of an article in Forbes

Besides the free rides, you can also win cash prizes. You must register with Joystick Trivia by using your Uber account, and in order to cash out if you win, a link is set up between the Joyride app and your PayPal account. You will need at least a $20 balance in PayPal to pull out any cash winnings. Right now, the app is available for iOS only. Your device must be running iOS 11 and higher, and you must be 17 or older to install Joyride Trivia on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.

Joyride Trivia will give Uber riders something to do instead of trying to make small talk with the driver. And if you happen to be a whiz at trivia, you might be able to get rid of your car.
