What if Walkman and CyberShot merge?

In the past, SonyEricsson used similar technologies in its different phone lines and two phones supposed to be totally different were absolutely identical in hardware aspects (K750 and W800) and fans even reflashed the one with the software of the other in order to gain its functionality.

With the time passing, we saw how Sony Ericsson started distincting its Walkman models from the Cybershot ones and the music-oriented phones got lower quality cameras, lacking autofocus and Xenon flashes, which the imaging-oriented models were proud to offer. This way, SE doesn’t offer an ultimate all-in-one device, which is the dream of some customers.

Here we have a fan-made image, illustrating what a Walkman phone would look like if it was featuring Cybershot functionality. Based on the W960 and the K850, this Hybrid named by the author H1, has the front of the Walkman with the music-control keys and the back of the Cybershot with the auto-lens-cover and the 7-megapixel label.

The SE-fan has even made two color versions of the phone housing, with respectively black and silver sides. We can just hope that Sony Ericsson will offer similar type of phone in the future, but for now it is just the dream of the brand fanatics. Keep in mind, this is not an official concept!
