"We're the fastest 4G LTE pipeline" says T-Mobile in new ad; second ad focuses on ETF payment plan
Sure, T-Mobile CEO John Legere was tossed from AT&T's party at CES. The executive hasn't been playing nice with AT&T, but the rambunctious Legere might have grabbed some measure of revenge on Wednesday when T-Mobile announced that it, not AT&T, is the carrier with the fastest 4G LTE data speeds in the U.S. That is the focus of a new ad that T-Mobile has produced. "For once we agree with AT&T on something," T-Mobile writes in big letters. "Faster is better and users say T-Mobile is faster." As we told you this afternoon, T-Mobile now claims to have the fastest 4G LTE network based on millions of Speedtest.net tests conducted by more than a million consumers.

The second ad is about T-Mobile's new plan for those looking to jump to the nation's fourth largest carrier from AT&T, Verizon or Sprint. The plan requires you to trade in your current phone and T-Mobile will give you $300 credit toward the purchase of a new phone (you must port over your number and sign up for a postpaid Simple Choice Plan). Once you get the final bill from your old carrier, you can mail it in or upload it to T-Mobile at www.switch2tmobile.com. You will receive the ETF fee back, up to $350 per line. Including the $300 credit for the new phone, it is a $650 offer from T-Mobile.

We also told you on Wednesday that preliminary figures show that T-Mobile added another 1.65 million subscribers in Q4 after adding 1 million in the previous quarter. With all of this good news,T-Mobile couldn't wait to brag. A shorter version of the ETF ad was spotted on prime time television on Wednesday evening.
