Watch the first video promos for Sony's Xperia Z5, Z5 Premium, and Z5 Compact are here
Sony just unveiled three new smartphones on stage at IFA 2015 - the Xperia Z5, Z5 Compact, and Z5 Premium. After a year filled with hiatus that gave us the Xperia Z3+ and Z4, Sony finally came up with a new flagship device and this is the Xperia Z5, a phone that comes with the world's fastest autofocusing camera (0.03s).

Meanwhile, the Xperia Z5 Premium is by no means a less interesting phone. It's the first smartphone in the world to boast a 4K display. With a resolution of 2160 x 3840 pixels, it's unsurpassed in terms of display sharpness with a pixel density of 801ppi.

Last, but definitely not least, comes the Xperia Z5 Compact, a no-compromise phone that pairs a rounded well-rounded specs sheet in a very compact, 4.6" body. Definitely a worthy successor of the Xperia Z3 Compact.

It didn't take Sony long before the first promo videos for its new snazzy phones popped up. Just as you might expect, the video for each device focuses on its respective highlight. There's also a summary promo that shows us some general facts about the Z5 lineup. Check them out below.

Can anyone explain the M on the left side of the camera UI? If Sony has finally included full manual controls like the G4 and Note 5 they can just take my money now. I love my Z3 but the biggest frustration for me was the lack of real manual controls and the fact that Sony has not included the Camera2 API in their versions of Lollipop so even third party apps can't take advantage of the sensor either. Sony may finally hit 99% of my marks for a flagship this year.

They should have at least included a 1080p display on the Z5 Compact if the Z5 Premium is 4K. Unacceptable...

Yes I noticed as well. I am very curious about the new camera UI as manual controls are a must for my next phone. Also have they said what aperture the camera is?
