Available exclusively from the App Store, Reuters TV is a mobile app that streams news to iPhone and iPad users. The news organization says that the programming is designed for those who don't watch traditional news. Reuters TV offers two different services. Reuters Now is "algorithmically assembled" and is customized for viewers' interests and locations. The duration of each program can be as short as 5 minutes and as long as 30 minutes, and the on-demand news program can be downloaded to view later when you are offline.

Live Feeds brings you live coverage of real-time events around the world. The video feeds are raw and unedited, and you can watch them on-demand if you can't get to the coverage while it is happening. 2500 journalists in 160 countries will contribute content exclusively for viewers and teams in London, Hong Kong, New York and Washington D.C. will put it all together allowing for around the clock news coverage seven days a week.

Reuters TV will differ from regular television news with the live coverage it offers. Instead of leaving the reporting to anchors, Reuters will be where the action is. And making it unique, the news organization will use iOS devices to bring the news to your iPhone and iPad. "All on-screen elements are also rendered on the device allowing for improved fidelity and different sizing across devices."

This sounds like a major breakthrough in the world of news. We should point out that the app is free for the first 30 days, and $1.99 for each month thereafter. Take the reporting capabilities of Reuters and have them work for you, delivering the news you want to see directly from the source, unedited or watered down by a anchor's desk. This could be the best thing that has happened to news since the launch of CNN. You can install the app by clicking on the sourcelink.
