Wal-Mart of offer iPad online and in stores

Starting this Friday, Wal-Mart will begin to offer the Apple iPad in hundreds of its stores nationwide as well as on their website.

Wal-Mart joins the party that is already being held by other large retailers Target and Best Buy. The cost of the product of course will be no different than anybody else, with pricing starting at $499 for the 16 GB WiFi version.

It is unclear if there will be any offerings in addition to the Apple iPad that will draw business in Wal-Mart’s direction instead of their retail competitors.
