Viber gets Mac and Windows desktop apps, starts to look like a serious Skype competitor

Viber is a VoIP application that is a direct rival to Skype, but it is even better in some ways - it stays always-on in the background of your phone so you don’t have to remember to turn it on as you have to with Skype.
