The other day we told you about a Twitter based contest that Verizon is currently in the midst of. Ending this Friday, the carrier is giving away four copies of the Android 4.0 powered Samsung GALAXY Nexus. Now, RIM is teaming up with Verizon to offer the BlackBerry Verizon Famtastic Challenge.
RIM and Verizon are giving away 480 BlackBerry phones and more
The contest is divided into 3 separate challenges and the top 40 submissions in each category win four BlackBerry smartphones. Now, we didn't have our abacus handy, but using fingers, toes and anything else we could count on, that works out to a total of 480 BlackBerry handsets being awarded as prizes. Unfortunately, we have no idea which model is being given away, although most would probably prefer it to be the BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930. Additionally, each 'Berry comes with four $50 Verizon gift cards which could be used for a free month of Big Red's data service on each of the four phones. The grand prize, by the way, is a trip for four to Orlando, Florida. Obviously, there is a pattern at work here.
The contest runs from January 23rd through March 20th. All you need to do is to send in a picture of a specific topic requested to the sourcelink. The winner of each challenge will be notified on February 6th, February 20th and March 6th with the grand prize winner announced on March 21st. The first picture should be of a furry friend and needs to be submitted by January 29th before midnight. Good Luck!
