Update to Gmail for Android app adds new features
Android users asked Santa for it, and today it came. Version 4.7 of Gmail for Android has arrived, a bit early for Christmas, but no less well-received as a matter of fact. The update allows you to now send any file as an attachment to a Gmail message. That means Gmail users are no longer restricted to using that virtual paper clip for pictures and video only.

In addition, with the update, Gmail uses can download zip files. No doubt this will lead to many racy evenings at home when a wife asks her husband to unzip her, although she is referring to a Gmail only. And an auto responder will now respond automatically to Gmail sent while you are on vacation. In addition, printing for those using Android 4.4 has been added, and Project Svelte allows lower memory devices to run the app smoother.

The updated Gmail for Android app is now available in the Google Play Store, just waiting for you to download and install it.
