Unannounced Xiaomi phones hit Geekbench
A phone with the code name Xiaomi Altun has been benchmarked on Geekbench. The handset was powered by an octa-core CPU and had 2GB of RAM inside. In addition, Android 6.0 was installed. The device has been tested 25 times on Geekbench starting early in May, and each time the field that normally lists the chipset in use was left blank.

The device has scored fairly consistent results. The last test, however, resulted in the lowest tallies of the lot. The device had a single-core score of 798 and a multi-core score of 2664. The highest single-core score, 980, was produced on a test conducted May 8th. The peak multi-core score of 4076 was the result of a Geekbech test dated June 30th.

Earlier this month, a phone code named the Xiaomi Capricorn was run through Geekbench. That device was tested with a Snapdragon 820 chipset inside, with a quad-core 2GHz CPU. 3GB of RAM and Android 6.0.1 was installed. While it is always difficult to tell, this could be the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. There is some speculation that three variants of the phablet will be unveiled, possibly as soon as next month.

Thanks for the tip!
