Ubuntu Touch-powered Meizu MX4 Pro caught in the wild
Back in August, Meizu teased that it might release a “stunning new OS” in the indefinite future. Given that the manufacturer's latest device, the Meizu MX4, comes with its home-made take on Android, Flyme OS, it's rather clear that we are dealing with a completely new platform, most probably Ubuntu Touch.

It was also rumored that certain versions of the Meizu MX4, namely the MX4 Pro, might be powered by said platform. It seems that this might indeed be the case, as an alleged Meizu MX4 Pro has been caught in the wild, and guess what - it's running Ubuntu Touch.

There is no exact word on when the the MX4 Pro might make its debut, provided that the leaked images hold water and Meizu actually releases such device. Apart from being pretty compelling in the firmware department, the Meizu MX4 Pro is also rumored to come with a 5.4-inch Quad HD display, a Samsung-made 20nm Exynos 5430 SoC, а 20MP rear camera, and either 3 or 4GB of RAM, though the latter is quite unlikely. A trendy-of-late fingerprint sensor might also make it to the specs sheet of the rumored Ubuntu Touch bearer.
