UPDATED:Photos leak of Sprint branded BlackBerry Essex/Tour2
A while ago, we passed along to you some info on the upcoming BlackBerry 9650 Essex/Tour2 and some pictures of the Verizon branded unit. Now we have some pictures of the same model wearing the Sprint logo with a slightly older OS build than seen on the other pictures(5.0.0.385 vs. 5.0.0.402), thanks to a Crackberry forum member. Compared to the original Tour, this new model features Wi-Fi, a trackpad to replace the trackball, and quite possibly a newer camera mechanism. The CDMA handset is expected to be launched at both Sprint and Verizon early next year, possibly as soon as February-March according to the site.

*UPDATE*
A closer look at the picture-especially the crooked looking trackpad, makes us reconsider the validity of the picture. Looks like the kids have been playing with the photoshop again...Engadget is calling it a Tour with a 9700 pad added in...if we can get a T.V. tuned to SpongeBob, we might be able to occupy some of the strange minds that circulate on the 'net.
