I know.............probably VZW made them wait until it had WM 6.5 and such. Lots of sales must have gone away though? Go to Engadget, they have actual release pictures and info. Seems is IS coming this time............LOL

I was excited about this phone......in August. Now I'm just waiting to see the same Verizon documentation with regard to the HTC Passion or whatever name it will take when it's ready for release. Come on mid-Dec!

yea, unfortunately this phone now seems old, even though it stills seems like a banging phone. That is the world we live in. These gadget blogs start talking about better devices before the good device comes out...bummer.

How is it old? It's still better than ANY phone available in the US right now...you clowns wanting all the passion info will be here in four months bitching about how you thought it was going to be great but now you're waiting for the ________.

It's 'old' in the fact that there are other banging Winmo phones out already. Not saying it isn't a good phone, but w/ the HD2 on the horizon it makes this phone look 'old'. Again, that's what happens when the market comes out w/ a new phone every second...

Nothing released stateside is better. Better display, better processor. When new phones are announced in Asia, it always takes a while to get them here, so no one stateside has the latest and greatest. This is a better phone by far than the tp2.

I've been waiting and waiting for the Omnia 2 to come out, or at least to get some confirmed date when it will be available. I got tired of waiting and bought the Motorola Droid. I've only had my Droid for 3 days but so far I'm not wild about the camera quality, call quality, slow to push email when signal isn't great, and heaviness of my Droid. Plus, my wife has the Samsung Rogue. The Samsung Rogue has better picture quality, easier interface for camera, brighter screen, lighter weight, and call quality is perfect on the Rogue. Makes me think I might be better off with the Omnia 2, but I'll wait to see the reviews from Phone Arena on the new Omnia 2 w/6.5 winmo. I'd love to hear how it compares to the Droid in all these areas. Which is the better phone from Verizon? Luckily, Dec. 2 is within the 30 day window to return my Droid.

Ok, I've been holding out for Omnia II... I'm not too impressed w/ either Android phones, but really like HTM Imagio, to the point I almost wanted to just go for it... But I've been really good and rational this time, waiting for Omnia II to come out first to comapre and decide... I like what I have seen from the Launch Pack so far, so please Verizon, don't let this geekette down and debut on Dec 2 FOR REAL already!

Alright...we all have been waiting for this phone for a while now, me, since August. I'll wait a little longer for the Passion to come out. I am hoping the rumors of a mid-Dec launch are accurate. I am a winmo fan, but am very interested in the 1Ghz processor cranking away in the Passion. Ther O2 has everthing I need in a phone and more; it matches if not beats any other equivelant phone out there. To top it off you can install SPB Mobile Shell if you don't like TW 2.0. Me, I like the Sense UI but am not thrilled about the Android OS. I use my phone for work and play and need a phone that can handle both. Can't wait to go to a VZW store to get the hands on experience and hope the O2 lives up yto my expectations.
