ZTE concept phone has two notches, one on top and the other on bottom of the display
It appears that ZTE is thinking that if consumers love having a notch on their smartphone, they will absolutely adore having two notches. Renders of a concept model with the name ZTE Iceberg have surfaced, and they show that the dual-notched device carries a notch at the top and the bottom of the display (when held in portrait orientation). The top notch contains the front-facing selfie snapper along with the earpiece and sensors for distance and light. The bottom notch carries only a second speaker, which allows the Iceberg to offer stereo sound. The casing on the four corners of the phone is transparent, and is a bit more squared off than the rounded corners under the see-through material.

While there are no leaked specs to pass along, we can see that the concept phone does have a dual-camera setup on back, and the fingerprint scanner is also located on the rear of the phone. And underneath the ZTE logo, we can see some pin connectors that could be used for a variety of reasons, possibly including the attachment of modular accessories.

Unless ZTE changes its mind, like Vivo did by deciding to mass produce its Apex concept phone, don't expect the Iceberg to be made available to consumers anytime soon.

Notches are not great. That is for sure, especially when apps have to accommodate the bite mark on your display. But now two bite marks give me a break. I know some Android smartphones that are going to arrive with the notch are giving users an option in the setting to use the entire display, or a certain predefined resolution. So the notch pixels will be ignored in your app. If that is the case, then the notch is okay, but still two notches. The notch crap is out of control.

Two Notches in the head are better than one

the only reason you should have a notch on a phone is if you have it on the top and the bottom and they are giant speakers

As a recent convert, I will say that I will give a try before knocking it. I still prefer the traditional screen, but if implemented Appropriately it may prove to be a nice and balanced approach to to providing a full screen.

Nice looking phone, but when Apple sets trends it’s only meant for Apple...

I think it's a great idea, especially if you put the fingeprint scanner in the second notch.

For stereo speakers? I wouldn’t mind that at all.

I agree with you on that. If i ever buy a Notch phone it would be with this type of a design; for 1 simple reason it's balanced and makes sense because they have eliminated as much bezel as possible while retaining dual front speakers at the same time.

If your going to get lazy with design and have a notch, I guess this is the proper way to do it.

Once you have notches on all sides then bigger notches will be better. The screen will end up like a letter X!

i think notches are inevitable for full screen experience. Not that a notchless full screen is bad, but it's just so.. dull in comparison with the notched one. it's like an additional screen shape that give some additional curve and style to the screen.

Don't implement a symmetry for the wrong reasons. It doesn't make it right..... or beautiful.

Maybe this is better! Especially if they make the 2nd notch for speaker!

At least they care about symmetrical design unlike apple.
