Two new Bluetooth headsets by Motorola - H800 and H601

Motorola's H800 is an over-the-ear headset device featuring slider form factor design and is the first headset to offer slider RapidConnect™ technology for easy, instant connections. It is ergonomic and lightweight so that you can use for longer periods of time. The device aslo features DSP as it has echo cancellation and noise reduction technologies. Other main specifications of the headset include:

  • Bluetooth 2.0 support.
  • Interchangeable hooks to match your ear for a snug and secure fit.
  • Up to approximately 6 hours talk time or 8 days standby time.
  • Elegant laser-etched patterns.
  • Volume controls can be programmed to remain upright as you switch headset from one ear to the other
  • Multicolor indicator light.
  • MicroUSB charging.


The H800 is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2007.

The H601 headset features a sleek look with glossy surface and incorporates over-the-ear design. The speaker is elevated in order to rest closer to the ear and thus deliver louder audio. The headset is powered on and off by a slide switch, and the stylish device also automatically shifts into low-power mode after 10 minutes of inactivity. More specs and features:

  • Bluetooth 2.0 support.
  • Interchangeable ear hooks to match the ear for a snug and secure fit.
  • Up to approximately 8 hours talk time and 8 days standby time.
  • Volume orientation technology keeps the volume controls upright as you.
  • Multi-Color LED feedback can be turned on/off by use.

It is expected to be launched in the last quarter of 2006.
