Truphone helps you save money by placing local calls anywhere
Global trotters are about to save even more money on their phone calls thanks to a new service being offered by Truphone. Its Local Anywhere service is a full GSM solution that simplifies the hassle and headaches of international calling by implementing a convenient system that aims to save you 90 percent on mobile phone bills. Truphone’s global mobile phone service allows customer to purchase a single SIM card which inevitably holds local numbers and access to local rates – giving you an optimized plan based on your location. It doesn’t matter what country you’re in, the SIM card will give you the best rates for phone calls, text messaging, and date usage – although roaming will still occur if you’re located in areas where Truphone is not supported. You’ll have to purchase the SIM card through Truphone, but an unlocked handset will also be required for it to fully function. Throughout 2010, Truphone plans on expanding its Local Anywhere SIM to other countries – the only downside right now is that it’s available in the US and UK only.

Doesn't the last line in the article defeat the whole purpose?

Well regardless of how much you save on cheap calls and international calls it still puts a big dent in your pocket. I make frequent calls to most international destinations like India, Brazil, China and elsewhere. These companies are still making hefty profits taking into account the the calls are really a VOIP calls. A friend recommended callarc.com I signed up and received an email and a call from one of the guys at callarc.com and asked if I wanted to test the service. I was able to call London, Brazil, India and other destinations for free and guess, what from my mobile. All i had to do was send it a SMS text message of the number i wanted to dial. The service called me back and connected me to the number i wanted to call. This is really cool service and one of a kind. Check it out the site it is called callarc.com have fun Patrick

Company Claims It Can Cut Your Cell Phone Bill By Half MobileMiser Inc. promises to cut your cell phone bill in half. It was designed by a man who didn't have a landline and did all his business over his cell. When he saw the invoices, he decided there had to be a better way. And when he couldn't find it, he invented one for himself. "If you use Mobilemiser you can call anywhere [in North America] from 4.9 cents a minute," explains creator Rasool Verjee. "Mexico City is 6.9 cents a minute. London is 6.9 cents a minute." That's music to the ears of consumers like Mark Anthony Clennon. "I just moved from Florida ... three months ago," he points out. "So I call everyone back home, my family, my friends. It's very expensive . I paid $110 on my bill last month." He can try it and so can you, atwww.mobilemiser.com

1. The TruPhone user account page is defective. I paid for unlimited free calls. Don't get it. User support is unwilling to help. 2. As not everybody reads terms and conditions: they don't refund the credit on your account if you are not happy with the product. 3. Sound quality is reasonable, but often people claim to hear themselves. Quality on cheap satellite call providers is way better. 4. The android app confused an android phone of us, wifi internet stopped working after installing truphone.
