The Huawei Watch revealed - a gorgeous Android Wear timepiece
Like clockwork, Huawei officially revealed the gorgeous smart-watch that met MWC goers on their way to Barcelona this year. The Huawei Watch is an Android Wear device that comes in three distinct colors and styles - Gold, Silver, and Black. They have different bands, and each watch has 40 different watch faces to choose from. The circular AMOLED display is 42mm in diameter, which Huawei thinks is unisex, and its resolution is a sexy 400x400 pixels. This clocks in at 286ppi at a high 10,000:1 contrast ratio.

The Huawei Watch is forged out of stainless steel and has a 2 o'clock press button for interaction. It charges from an inductive charging stations. Speaking of hardware, this is another Snapdragon 400, 512MB RAM Android Wear device that relies on Bluetooth 4.1 connection to a smartphone. The smartwatch also has a heart rate monitor, a six-axis motion sensor, a barometer, and more sensors - thanks to which, users can monitor their calories burned, heart rate, climbing height, step count, distance travelled, and such.

The Huawei Watch will be sold in at least 20 countries initially, and these include United States, United Kingdom, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Norway, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates. The price was not revealed.

To date, this is the best looking smartwatch ever announced. Let's hope Samsung and HTC will unveil another great smartwatches today. It would be nice if Huawei released a 47mm version.

Does it matter? The more appropriate questions would be: Will it sell enough? We all know the answer: plagued with Android, there is no hope.

Better than the current crop by a light year. Looks like a premium watch which also can show you notifications rather than the other way around (a la Moto 360). Hope it is around $250

I thought you said you would buy the sport edition Apple Watch...

Why would I do that if I don't have an iPhone? Perhaps you mistook it in my conversation with DarkkJedii, he's the one getting it :)

If you don't have an iPhone then why you always break my balls about how bad it is? If you haven't got it then what do you know ? Do you have any Apple devices at all? I personally have a galaxy s4, just to have a better view about things I will also get a surface tablet,

Don't pay no attention to these Apple haters. They are in another level. An Apple product could cure aids and cancer and the would still say it sucks! I prefer iPhones, but I have a Samsung TV and a windows PC.

Don't pay no attention means you have to pay attention ;)

Why are you bragging about how good the Apple watch is when you don't have one? Why can't he get away with an opinion that's based off of a lack personal use but you can?

I never said it was bad, because it isn't at all. Just trying to be neutral about tech (as far as that is possible). So if you say something I disagree on, I say so. Same thing goes for others about other devices. I have an Ipad 4 from work. Also since I am the system administrator with 150 iPhone users and 140 iPad users, I kinda know what I'm talking about (usually). Also I just like breaking your balls ;)
