The Acer Z630 and Z530 deliver big screen visuals and tasty selfies in the sub-200 euro range
Any Acer handset fans around here? At IFA 2015, the Taiwanese company unveiled the Liquid Z630(S) and Liquid Z530(S), two Android 5.1-powered smartphone designed to meet the prevailing industry trends of big screen multimedia consumption and quality selfie-taking.

Liquid Z630/Z630S

The Liquid Z630 jumps in the phablet pool with a 5.5-inch HD (720p) Zero Air Gap display and 64-bit processing punch, supplied by the quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6735 chipset. There are 2GB of RAM memory and 16GB of built-in storage in the configuration, along with a spacious 4000mAh capacity battery. A pair of 8MP wide angle cameras are to be found on its front and back panel, and connectivity options include Cat4 LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.0.

The Z630S model upgrades the Z630 with an octa-core chip, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage.

The Z530 and Z530S come from the same breed as the Z630 and Z630S, but instead of multimedia, the focus is on vivid selfies. That's why the smartphone retains that 8MP front cam with an 84 degree wide-angle lens, but downgrades the whole package to make for a more affordable smartphone. The Z530/S has a 5-inch display, a lesser quad-core 1.3GHz MT6735 chip, 1GB or 2GB of RAM and 8GB or 16GB of storage (depending on market).

It does, however, employ some potentially attractive software photo traits, such as Gourmet Mode (automatically adjust color temperature and style for photos of dishes), touch to capture (focus and capture photos with a single touch), and Smile Shutter (capture smiles as they happened). The Z530S comes with a faster, octa-core MediaTek chipset, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage.
