TerreStar-1 satellite successfully launched into space
No delays for this launch – the TerreStar-1 satellite blasted off into space on July 1 with high expectations. It's expected that TerreStar's partnership with AT&T will provide customers absolute coverage in pretty much any location in the US or Canada via satellite phones. It is the world's largest and most advanced commercial communications satellite – delivering voice, data, and video services. Now that the first phase is complete, we're hopeful that devices and service cost will be announced. It's still speculated to be a Windows Mobile powered device with an almost BlackBerry look. Right now we're going to have to play the waiting game until official confirmation is released.
