Telus about it: Canadian carrier Jelly Beans HTC One X OTA
Earlier this month, Canadian carrier Rogers rolled out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the HTC One X. Now, a tweet from HTC Canada tells us that it is Telus' turn to update the HTC One X to Android 4.1. The update is coming OTA and for those unaware, these updates do not go out to everyone all at once. Actually, they are staggered which means that you might not get the update right away while your neighbor is shoving his updated HTC One X in your face.
If you're impatient, you can check your phone manually to see if the update has arrived so that you can install it. At one point the flagship Android phone for Taiwan based HTC, the HTC One X has been replaced by the HTC DROID DNA/Butterfly and that is apparently going to be supplanted by the HTC M7. But putting that all aside for the moment, the update will bring Project Butter and Google Now to the device. The former brings smooth performance while the latter adds a personal assistant that knows exactly which information you need and gets it to you in a timely fashion.
